My fav cartoon character as a boy was Scrooge McDuck!
He had a ten story high money vault that the evil Beagle Boys gang was always trying to bust into.
And Donald and his two duck cousins always wanted money
Why is Scrooge McDuck so rich?
A self-made duck
In the story, Scrooge comes back north with his nephew Donald, looking for gold he left there in the late 1800s. Later on, stories were added to the mythos, explaining how he began amassing his fortune by striking gold in the area during the Klondike Gold Rush.
The allegory today illustrates the huge disparity between haves and have nots, and Scrooge is like the Koch Brothers who is notoriously stingy, and cares not for the poor unwashed masses. They were al ways going on adventures to far off places in search of more riches.
