1. Female circumcision is NOT an islamic thing, as your site suggests. The best way to defend islam regarding female circumcision is NOT to justify female circumcision. The best way to defend islam is to point out that it is NOT an islamic practice - notwithstanding certain north african tribes which embrace islam continue the practice after their conversion.
2. I'll be honest - I was too mind-made-up to peruse the apologia for female circumcision. Cutting off the clitoral hood may indeed be a wonderful idea. I'll never know, because I am busy reading a treatise about the nutritional value of raw worms.
