Well, that's what I start to wonder about.
Removing a bit of flesh from a baby boy's penis is acceptable.
The similar procedure for a girl's downstairs area? Not.

Both are traditional rituals.

If the boy's operation went beyond and "ruined" him, I'd say we'd agree it's too far.
Likewise for girls. That becomes mutilation.

How one became a ruinous sabotage and the other not must have to do with the second-class status women "enjoy" in some cultures.
Is there still a valid traditional female circumcision in the world these days (if there ever was)?
I sure don't know.

I also won't count on anyone here knowing the difference either.
