Here's my take...

The GOPs performance over the past several decades has been so inexcusable awful, they've been left to campaign on Stupid.

The low hanging Fruit of Stupid having been exhausted (******, Communists, Socialists, Muslims, Homos, and bears..oh, my!) The Scam has now regressed to this "litmus test"..

Expect "why is the sky blue" to follow...

The GOPs performance over the past several decades has been so inexcusable awful, they've been left to campaign on Stupid.

Looking at the last 7 or 8 years it appears that the Red states are doing much better than the Blue states and cities.  You increased violence on blue cities, mass exodus from both states and cities, high taxes, crime, and a lack of interest in prosecuting crime.  

Also look at the pandemic.  Red led states fared so much better than blue states.  Fl, and Texas come to mind.
