Here's the deal - NONE OF YOU have any real understanding of just how far it is from Earth  to Proxima Centauri.  Perhaps a being that exists in a higher dimension than our 3 spacial dimensions can transgress the laws of physics as we 3D beings understand them.  It's like pondering on whether Princess Zelda could ever leave her 1992 Nintendo game cartridge. No, she can't.  And, no aliens can't travel near light speed.
I saved the Princess once. That feat in itself might give me reason to believe aliens can travel the speed of light.  :D
