As I understand the current practice, insurance covers gender reassignment if it was your kid, among the one in 500 births where the condition is apparent at birth.

And for other cases, no doctor does surgery before 18.

Its not a major problem.

There aren’t ever going to be very long lines of teenage boys wanting their manhood removed.
