I wonder what aliens landing on the white house lawn would do to the stock market... nothing good I guess...
- There would be no reason or need for them to hide from us. Why? Mainly because they wouldn't care enough about our internal reactions to hide. Nor would they care what 195 country "leaders" want from them. Our own government would be powerless to keep their arrival secret.
- There would be way more photos of the Aliens. Where cameras are literally everywhere, they couldn't avoid detection.
- Again, the energy it would take just to get here is astronomically ridiculous.
- There are too many amateur astronomers out there to not see alien craft all the time.
- We would have good quality, detailed photos of the outside and inside of any such craft.
- It makes no sense to come "visit" a planet before making some kind of communicative contact and then, sending investigative probes.
- Think about it, would we use a huge amount of energy from our sun just to go watch a bunch of chimps running around on an alien planet? F- No!
