The main reason I swore off the Republican Party twenty years ago was Dick Cheney claiming water torture wasn’t water torture.
And for the first time in all his life, Donald Trump risks the penalty of the criminal law, the exact same as the rest of us would if we’d acted like he did. It is a breathless tribute to our rule of law.
The next President to lose an election is going to go home, and turn over their papers to the archives, like all the others did except Trump.
I do hope Biden commutes any jail sentence Trump may get.

the republican party has nothing to do with it. You should hear some of the stories of people tortured at black sites by the CIA under obama. Some pretty gruesome stuff. no matter what party is 'elected' nothing changes about US policy.
