I've been reading those periodicals for close to 30 years, and it has educated me to discern when they are telling the truth.
Which is virtually always. And I can prove that I am not locked into any one point of view: every time they change their position, I change mine. If I were stuck in a rut, like you, I would just abandon these perfectly sound periodicals, every time they reversed themselves.
