Privately owned central banks: We're going to lower IR's to -0.5% because the global economy is in a massive depression.
Normal, sentient person: Oh, cool. Does this mean I can borrow $1M and return $995,000 after a set # of yrs?
Privately owned central banks: Sorry, no. It's a privilege only reserved for private banks and some credit unions. BTW you typically need $10M to $30M in startup capital to finance your own bank/credit union! Good luck.
Normal, sentient person: Hmm...that doesn't seem like a "fair" or "free" market to me. How much will I have to pay to borrow $$$ for anything other than obtaining a home mortgage (that we all know are heavily subsidized)?
Privately owned central banks: Well the APR for most lines of credit is typically 14% - 20% if your credit score is amazing...otherwise count on it going beyond 25%. You can also have investors fund your business but you'll typically surrender 85-95% of the equity to them, so that's a course of action we would discourage unless you have a billion dollar idea...
Normal, sentient person: So why does a criminal bank like Chase/BoA/WF get away with "paying" -0.5% to loan the money to someone like me at 20%?
Privately owned central banks: Because the vast majority of your fellow citizens are inbred retards and low IQ cretins who allow organizations like us to stack the deck in our favor, while they bicker among themselves over trivial issues. Then there are those who actively crusade FOR our cause because they are too ignorant to understand the difference between a competitive market vs a monopoly. Case in point:
