It's rather common for an agency's spokesperson to issue a press release... that's their job. Anywho... let's not quibble over minor details concerning the press release. The most important takeaways from the entire Dorian saga, from the perspective of most, are that the storm didn't put a scratch on the Southern White House and the Prez was right again. : )

This was no ordinary press release, and this was not just some minor matter.
No way in hell should a statement like that where NOAA threw it's own NWS in Birmingham under the bus have been put out unsigned.

Like I said, I smell ****.

We already know that the president is not above asking people to put out false statements.

And we sure as hell know that he is not above altering official weather maps with a Sharpie.
