I never said the Israelis should be happy having people trying to kill them as neighbours... Only you seem to believe they would... Israel's objectives were made clear regarding Gaza ---- Hamas removed as a governing entity, and their ability to attack and wage war on Israel destroyed... Sorry for your bad luck, but that's happening...
You can easily Google to learn the foreign companies ( I believe 1 was British) who had made agreements with the PA to invest and drill those Oil Sites, and when those deals collapsed after Hamas took control.. Imagine that, International Oil Companies not wanting and Islamic Terror Group as partners .
When the smoke settles, it will be as stated... Hamas will no longer be the governing & military body they are now.. And yes, you can bet Israel will occupy Gaza again as a security presence as they had before... This was 100% brought upon by Hamas... I do not agree with your theory of moving over 2 Million people in a Dispora of sorts from Gaza to the West Bank... But as I said, the Gazans can expect Israel to trim a little more off around the edges since this latest attack & fail excursion.
There are two choices the israelis have, son. They can get busy ethnic cleansing, or they can get busy enfranchising their de facto citizens. Keeping them caged without citizenship, without a state, without passports, on reservations simply will not work in the age of the internet.
So if the israelis really ARE as stupid and incompetent as you believe them to be, they're in for a hard **** life.
