In case you haven't observed (clearly you haven't) , there a countries all over the Planet who share a border with hostile neighbours --- many who've they've warred with repeatedly. for years.. In Israel's case it is a matter of containing a hostile neighbour, which they will do... Do you believe all war / conflicts end in a victory for one of the participants, an amicable peace has been achieved?.... Many remain unresolved, in a state of tit for tat or an uneasy absence of hostilities....
