He didn't inherit **** until noon on 1/20/21.  At that time, there was a vaccine (based on the new definition). And WITH the vaccine, on Oct. 6, 2021, John Hopkins data showed more COVID deaths in 2021 than in 2020.

The fact remains.  America voted for Joe to lead us out of a pandemic that, on election day, had no vaccine.  The American people had nearly ten months of the clown's fumble-**** around treating COVID as a political PR problem instead of a public health emergency, and they trusted Joe to lead us out of it.  He did so... and did so better than any other first-world nation.

And your silly factoid ignores the fact that COVID didn't just jump into the middle of America and immediately infect millions of people in a day or two.  There wasn't even a vaccine until well after the election.  And then, Biden had to fight against public wariness and reluctance of it.  Joe did a fine job with the hand he was dealt and I thank GOD he was at the helm of government through that stormy time.

Can you remember when the clown wanted to keep the Diamond Princess from docking so that the COVID infected passengers could be treated in shoreside hospitals because it would be "bad for the numbers"?  COVID was never about PEOPLE to that moron, it was always about numbers and appearances.  THAT is why  Americans booted him out of office.
