The farming community wants one or the other. The animals get on a schedule, and the world around them adjusts to it. If the cows are being milked at six, the trucks pick up at seven - that sort of thing.
If you then change the CLOCK, then either the cows have to change their schedule, or the trucks have to change their schedule. Neither of these are good for business.
