I don't scoff at it, but some of it certainly does not inform or assist Christians in living Christ-like lives.  Ezekiel 23 is one such example.  As I said, I served as the interim minister at a Congregational church in Maine for two years.  We ALWAYS followed the lectionary, which includes an Old Testament passage, a Psalm, a Gospel passage, and an Epistle passage.  I would always use three of those four in every service, and one of them was ALWAYS the Gospel passage.  And 90 percent of the time, my sermon was an exploration of one of those readings.

here is an idea nobody of faith every considers possible. Jesus was just a guy that figured out out the algorithm of reproductions being eternally separated as adapting in space each rotation living as an ever changing total sum lived each rotation alive in plain sight and what he taught was understanding the natural series parallel source of adapting as displaced since conceived.

all the people worshipping ideas life exceeds genetics eternally separating each lifetime alive equally won't change what they believed true since people created language barriers between ancestral villages in separate geographical areas in this atmosphere per ancestral lineages of the geographical area...

It is how I developed my line of thinking unlike anyone I ever met or heard about leading humanity into better tomorrows so far.
