It sounds like a pretty standard service... We ALWAYS followed the lectionary, which includes an Old Testament passage, a Psalm, a Gospel passage, and an Epistle passage. I would always use three of those four in every service, and one of them was ALWAYS the Gospel passage. And 90 percent of the time, my sermon was an exploration of one of those readings.
while everyone has their personal view of GOD, I see HIM as a GOD of wrath, HE isn't fair, HE's just and everybody's fair haired, blue eyed JESUS, who is GOD, will come to destroy the nations...but that's just me...
