That is a blanket statement regarding Roman Catholics, Episcopalians, Methodist, Congregationalists and Lutherans. If it wasn't, you would have used words like "many congregations within" or "most congregations within" or even "some congregations within". But you said, "many denominations".

The denominations follow the lectionary. The denominational organizational structure - be that of a synod, a general convention, an executive council, a council of bishops, a general council, or the Pope himself - has stated that it follows the lectionary. I never claimed to speak for every single congregation in every denomination. Still, the stated denomination policy is churches will follow the lectionary: Roman Catholics, Episcopalians, Methodists, Congregationalists, Lutherans, and many others.
