You recall wrong. I was against gay marriage.

I was in favor of civil unions, so homos in long term relationships could inherit, visit in hospitals and jails, make end of life decisions, etc.. I was against gay marriage. 
 

semantics. Morality of good and evil vs legal left evolving tomorrow and right ways social engineering outcomes next rotation goes forward each rotation regardless the narrative. Humanity cannot develop a stable state of mind lasting more than 6 generation gaps combined without a major re-interpretation of reality tomorrow.
