In the beginning of our exposure to Jap cars, it was either the Datsuns or the Toyotas [or both] that had an epidemic of cylinder head failures.
Brand new cars with low miles getting towed back to the dealerships.
At the time aluminum was considered an inferior metal to use for cylinder heads..something that only race cars used.
Well it didn't take Japan long to get that problem figured out, I think they went with a higher quality of aluminum.
Since then, the Japs really raised the bar for how many miles we can expect to get from a drivetrain and they have also made a lot of advancements with power to weight ratios and clean burning..
I remember it well sir.
My point is that the myths and clichés that China only makes inferior products
is sky screaming by cuckies. Repeated ad nauseum out of butthurt reflex.
