Barack Obama’s half-brother, Malik, says he’s voting for Trump

Abon’go Malik Obama, the half-brother of former President Barack Obama, stole the spotlight from his relative Wednesday by revealing that he would once again be voting for Donald Trump this November.
“I am Malik Obama. I’m a registered Republican and I’m voting for President Donald Trump,” the Kenya-born naturalized US citizen posted on X.
While both are sons of Barack Hussein Obama Sr., a Kenyan economist who died in a car accident in 1982, Malik called his younger half-sibling a “deep disappointment” and blamed 2016 Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton for his departure from the party.
In 1992, Malik was the best man at Barack’s wedding to the former Michelle Robinson, and he later visited the White House during his half-brother’s time in office.“I stuck with Barack Obama all through his presidency, until I realized he was all about himself,” Malik posted on X in September 2022. “That’s when I ditched him for President Trump.
