Christians were given dominion over the animals, but that dominion carried with it a stewardship obligation - not a license to do murder.
Hunting for food is one thing - and it is no threat to the herd. Hunting for sport is characterized by going after trophy animals, which takes those trophy animals out of the gene pool and allows scrubs the opportunity to leave THEIR genetic information in the gene pool. Their information in the gene pool only happens because of **** murdering the most fit animals, and thinking their sin against the species to be a gift from on high. God gave man no such gift. The gift of murder was never bestowed on man in any covenant.
There is no more sinister and no more powerful threat to a species than trophy hunting, precisely because it works exactly counter to evolution. It fosters devolution with mathematical precision. It is sinful.
