Did losing their access to cheaply delivered Russian gas and having to buy from shipped-in rather than piped-in source raise Germany's "energie" costs, or lower them?
In other words, did the blowing up of the infrastructure carrying them cheap gas hurt their economy, or give it the boot-strap boost it needed to finally become the Little Engine that Could?
