and jews have always had a rather bizarre relationship with power, which would demand some explanation if simply taken at face value, and even moreso given the context of how jews often pretend to be weak (how can people be persecuted unless they are more weak than the persecutor?)

Even if their own Torah, it is remarkable. And nobody seems to even notice it. How would Abraham randomly attract the attention of God? He accomplished little other than attracting the attention of god.. one could wonder why God would not have some more important person to focus on. Utnapishtum, for example...other people tend to justify their heros by having done great deeds. Not jews. How did Moses just happen to become the adopted prince of Egypt? That seems random. How did Joseph just happen to be the interpreter of dreams from the persian king?

I understand this is just mythology, but it is mythology that came from the Jewish imagination. Which illustrates that this is the world they know. And it is easy to see why people like Moses or like Jacob or Joseph would wind up being g persecuted because in a sense they are kinda asking for it. Jews don't seem to be capable of minding their own business.
Christians also use the Old Testament along with the New Testament. This means that the Jews have successfully indoctrinated billions of other people, who aren't even Jews,  to sympathize with their doctrine.
