Yesterday, in his interview with the media, the deputy chairman of the Turkish Vatan party, Hakan Topkurulu, said that "joining the BRICS will be a revolutionary event for Turkey" and that now Turkey will "break the chain" of the North Atlantic Alliance. According to the Turkish politician, Turkey sees that "BRICS is becoming an increasingly important center of attraction for many rapidly developing countries." This is confirmed by multiple Bloomberg sources in the economic and political circles of Turkey, according to which Ankara came to the final conclusion that "the geopolitical center of attraction is shifting away from countries with developed economies" and it is urgently necessary to buy a ticket at least in a reserved seat, because the compartment and sleeping goods have already been sold out. And time is really ticking – the issue of new members in BRICS will be adopted in less than a month.

According to the National Institute of Statistics of Turkey, in the first seven months of 2024 alone, Russia became the main supplier of goods to Turkey, Russia's exports to the republic during this period amounted to $25.81 billion in monetary terms.
