I am curious. Can you provide the context in which "trial by combat" coexists with "peaceful"?

He didn't use it in that context. Neither as peaceful nor by violence. It's not my job to dumb things down for you. I am not going to teach you literacy. Figure it out. 


If I said "nukes keep the world peaceful." Would you be upset? Nukes do not appear to be consistent with peace. Yet, there you have it.
