Reagan took eight years to barely beat Carter.

What does your chart fail to show, as you fully intend?

Carter inherited a moderately strong economy, which he drove into the ground.

Reagan inherited his mess, an economy on the verge of collapse and turned it around into the longest peacetime economic boom to that point in recorded US history.

As liberal Time, liberal Newsweek, the liberal New Republic all finally admitted, having denied Reagan's success for most of his presidency.

They all carried issues with cover stories devoted to the Reagan Economy and how the US once again was the manufacturing giant of the world.

Try to keep up with basic US history.
