Huge difference.  Just in case you're too stupid to understand it...the judge commenting on the case at the center of this thread did so in an official court ruling.  The judge in the Trump case put his definition, which went against NY law at the time of the offense and his comment, did so as an opinion in an news article.

One carries the weight of law...the other only carries weight to whiny *** liberals who are too big a sissy to tolerate a jury verdict.
