I agree seniors get screwed most of the time by inflation. I always wondered why the social security COLA is set by only the 3rd quarter inflation numbers. It just doesn't keep up!
All the planning in the world for retirement gets upended with a few years of higher inflation. I retired in January of 21, it's a different landscape now.
Not "most of the time".
ALL of the time.
If a person is not working and getting wage increases meant to keep pace with inflation, that person is losing.
That is a HUGE sector of the population.
