What does that have to do with anything ever discussed?
Nothing.
I never traveled with a loaded weapon.
That meant no shells in the magazine.
When going to Mexico it meant keeping weapon and shells separate, with a limit of 2 boxes.
It is of no consequence to me what the law is in S. Dakota.
Now explain to me what the point is.
That is federal law when traveling thru the states. Don’t know about Mexico and Don’t care. In the state of Utah an unloaded weapon is one where it take two mechanical actions to fire. You can have rounds in the magazine but no rounds in the chamber. For a shotgun, your sole knowledge base, that means empty chamber. Meaning you have to pump (mechanical step one) and pull the trigger (mechanical step two).
That is also important to know when carrying without a permit. Which is allowed in Utah.
So please, do not presume Your limited experience is enough for you to lecture me. Capisce?
