That's so old fashioned.
I have never had a credit card in my husband's name.
I learned after my divorce in my first marriage that a woman needs to establish her own credit and not have to depend on a man.
Hey Red!
Happy New Year!

It's about commitment, I think.
Me and my wife of almost 40 years only have ever had is 1 bank account and 1 credit card.
It was on her name.
Only recently I applied for a credit card my own, from the same bank account.
It was not really convenient to keep switching the same card.
She would be out shopping . . . and I'd need the card . . . or I was web-shopping and she'd need the card in the mall.
This went on for years . . . mostly because I only paid stuff with cash or a check . . . but things change.
And I rarely venture out of the front gate anymore . . . all I need is delivered to my front door now.
You know you don't need the actual card for web shopping, right?
Just keep the number written down somewhere.
We've been married for 30 years.
We always have had our own credit cards.
We have a joint savings account, but separate checking accounts.
It works for us.
