In 1960, around 40% of rural residents and 50% of urban residents were considered to be living in abject poverty. We're talking real poverty - food insecurity, zero hygiene. Basically living like primitive animals and dying young. The average age of death was 43.
Today, 8.5% of Indians live in abject poverty. The average age of death is 68.

It wasn't a massive increase of population that improved India....that's preposterous
.just some basic improvements to their transportation system so that their usual surplus supply of food and supplies could get into the hands of the people.Problem with UNICEF though is every time they improve the quality of life of the primitive people the primitive people reward us with population explosions.
