One of my oft-repeated observations about economy is this:

Free Enterprise serves the market to dominate the competition.
Capitalism dominates the market by outlawing the competition. 

We can see this in action very recently, when the U.S. government resorted to terrorism on behalf of American corporations by blowing up the Nordstream. Using this terrorist event along with sanctions and propaganda and having their proxy in ukraine shut down the last remaining pipeline to Europe, the US dominated the market by destroying and outlawing the competition. Now euro-peons have to pay three times the price - which turned Germany from the strongman of Europe to the sick man of Europe. 

Capitalism always comes knocking with a gun in its hand.
