I could be reaching and I probably am. However, if that crash was deliberate, there is usually some message that goes along with it. Like picking the date 9/11. 

Harry Truman, the '33rd president of the United States,  is known for making the decision to drop atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, as well as for the Truman Doctrine during the early years of the Cold War. Truman gave a notable speech on the importance of military preparedness on the date of the crash. The Could this just be a warning that something is going to happen on March 12th?

• Announced by President Harry S. Truman on March 12, 1947, the Truman Doctrine was a policy of providing economic and military aid to countries threatened by communism.

• Context: After the Soviet Union successfully tested its first atomic bomb in August 1949, the U.S. faced increased pressure to maintain its nuclear superiority.
• On January 31, 1950, President Truman publicly announced that the U.S. would proceed with the development of the hydrogen bomb (H-bomb), a thermonuclear weapon far more powerful than atomic bombs used in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
