USAID is only a small fraction of the federal discretionary spending. It's unlikely it will make even a dent. Not that I don't support it. It's a good idea. At least it may send a message to other countries that America is tired of carrying their asses.
I wish they would consider cutting aid to Israel. Though that is also only a fraction of our spending, it would still solve a lot of the world's problems.
