I really disagree on that point.  I'm convinced because so many witnesses tell the same exact story.  And It would be remarkably difficult to pull of that kind of fraud and maintain it over 70 years.

Not really. The whole Christian religion is based on testimonies. There isn't a whole lot of physical evidence, yet Christianity has been one of the largest and strongest religions for the past 2000 yrs. It's not hard to fool the mass.
