Arab Muslims describe Islam as a religious civilization, and Christian Arabs concur with them on the identity of Arab civilization. Interpreting a conflict in religious terms means that political and other decisions will be described in those terms. Thus, the distinction between religious and national conflicts fades, and the Arab-Israeli conflict engages many countries that would not otherwise be involved.
This part right here is where I take a stance against. I understand why countries outside the Arab-Israeli conflict engage in this. However, the reason is illogical. Just because we are a democracy and other nations are as well, doesn't mean that they have to insert themselves into a long-standing war that has nothing to do with them. That is a choice. The war didn't come to them or us. They and us decided to insert ourselves into it. That is our fault.
