Yes, I am GenX.  I didn't really say we want to F-anyone.  I said we have a "F- the world" attitude.  It's pretty much the same thing you said.

I do, however,  disagree with you on doing the bare minimum to get by.  That seems to be more of a Millennial value.  My experience is that GenX'ers tend to be more driven than Boomers ever were to make money.  Many GenX'ers are smart, talented, well educated and embrace Corporate America.  We had advantages that our parents didn't have.  We (many of us) went to private schools.  Many of us were expected to go to colleges and we did.  Our parents didn't generally tolerate or teach the "only do work that makes you happy" attitude. Maybe this was something invented by late GenX'ers, but I attribute it more to Millennials.

We liked girls, not tattoos and queers. Most of us never went off to fight in wars.  There is a huge difference between GenX'ers and Boomers and/or Millennials.

Now, are GenX'ers all the same?  Of course not.  There are going to be lots of differences among our generation.  In fact, Boomers far more tend to act -like Sheeple than GenX'ers ever would.
