So have I - cherry beer. Its a Belgian thing.  A little bit on the sweet side, but not bad.

I was with SOCEUR at Patch barracks near Stuttgart. Those were the days. I was there 8 years. Had a great time. European girls (most) did not shave their legs or armpits in the 80's. It took 5 mins to pour a beer when you went to a guesthouse. All you needed to do was sit at the bar, and the girls would come to you. They loved to try their "English" skills on you. They were very interested in the "Slang" we Americans use. They were blown away when you could speak German.
