we are supposed to believe in reincarnation. Christ said that john the baptist was elijah in a previous life and that john the baptist was not an angel but a mortal man like any other men.
Not exactly. Jesus never actually declared that John the Baptist was the reincarnation of Elijah. According to the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus said "And if you are willing to accept it, he (
John the Baptist) is the Elijah who was to come." This is a far cry different from ordinary people claiming to have had past lives.
Furthermore, I do not take every part of the Bible literally. While I believe there is overall historical relevance to much of what was written in the Bible, I also recognize that there is a huge lack of continuity in both the Old Testament and New Testament, and some obvious attempts made to reconcile these two texts.
Third, I do not actually believe that Donald Trump is the literal reincarnation of Andrew Jackson. Well, maybe he is, but obviously have no proof of it. Still, I do find accounts of individuals who have died for a short period of time and been brought back to life very interesting. I find myself believing some of these accounts, or at least opening my mind to the possibility of what they are saying is true.
