You know how people like Trump and Musk keep repeating this line (or some variation):

I’m a billionaire / I’m wealthy, therefore I cannot be bought. 

Well it turns out there was a quotation from a century ago that refuted this “reasoning:”

What makes a man or woman rich? leadership promising better tomorrows or fellowship buying the ideas life exceeds adapting as displaced limited to adapting in the moment so far, now.

What are these bribes? Promise of life after death or value of currently believing life isn't self evident time simply equally alive now?

Which institutions develop the ideas now isn't eternity every generation gap forward so far every social order is blueprinted around rule of law by god for country?
