I enjoy contemplating the levels of logic being employed in discussions, and how they are…sophomoric at best.

I have a personality type that excels at being resistant to manipulation, gaslighting, and deceit, but I don’t fare well in direct shouting matches. 

Something I need to work on 

I recommend gaining facility in the use of the word ***. It takes people aback. If you can work the word in ways it has not been worked before, all the better. 

For example, when someone is using cretinous methods against you, out-cretin them by calling them a *** dicker. They will often lose their entire train of thought, going down the rabbit hole of figuring out exactly what a *** dicker might be. 

Another thing you can do is accuse them of bathrooming. Turning the word bathroom into a verb is already verbal ju jitsu - and wonderfully adolescent. But using it as a pejorative quite puts the other party off their game. It shuts off the part of their brain that they are using, because it out-13-year-olds them.

Also, invent scenarios that challenge assumptions. For example, I distinguish gay from TOO gay with the sandwich example. Sucking a guy's dick is just gay. Making him a sandwich after is TOO gay. He got the blowjob, he makes the **** sandwiches - or you are TOO gay. 

Once you have slipped these examples through their overton window, it's time to shove them up their *** with something along the lines of, "You bathrooming *** dicker, you are sandwich-making gay." Imagine how long it would take them to argue otherwise. They would have to defend against each distinction - because defending against only one or two is a tacit admission to the remainder. 

You could also just blow a rape whistle at them and insist that you are not looking for a date. 

I'm decent at resisting gaslighting, but I'm a Paisley Belt with Gingham Border and Chevron Sash at shouting matches.
