what will happen when those parts fly off at high speeds on the highway?
They won't. Tesla issued a recall so that it won't happen. Ya see how that works? Owners drive to the dealership, have a cup of joe, drive out - no charge, issue resolved.
What YOU are describing is what would have happened if Tesla had NOT done the right thing. See the difference?
Tesla just called it a recall. It's like Bingo. Ya just say Bingo - not that's a Bingo.
Same with recalls. Ya never say anything in front of recall. Ya just say recall. In the immediate case, Tesla EMPHASIZED the danger of the laminate flying off in traffic and creating unsafe conditions - the very OPPOSITE of dismissive language like, "cosmetic recall."
