He is quoting an internal memo. It spells out precisely what he says it spells out.
What did he cherry pick? What did he over-dramatize? What claim was specious? On what do you base that opinion?
Make a **** case. You think I WANT that **** to be true? That's MY social security the *** is talking about.
And it just so happens, I remember very well how hard the republicans worked to **** over the post office so they could part it out and give it to their patrons for pennies on the dollar. And I was extremely gratified when their plans failed. And based on that memo - and on the usual suspects Musk has unleashed on the SSA - it looks like Dore is correct. They are doing the exact same thing to Social Security.
He is also correct that American seniors are ENTITLED to that money. It is THEIR money, being returned at paltry interest.
My simple hope is that there is another shoe to drop... That it might not be as dire as current indications seem.
You have to look at it as one of the ploys (for lack of a better word) for pissed off people like Dore:
Take one of the most deserved programs and compare it to the most overpriced programs.
SS payouts vs Pentagon/Israel payouts.
Not holding my breath though.
