• Elon Musk has released Tesla Motors’ patented electric vehicle (EV) and charger technology to the public domain.  
• In a blog post titled “All Our Patent Are Belong To You,” Tesla CEO Elon Musk said the company will not file against anyone using their patented technology in “good faith.”
• The company hopes that, by making its technology open source, it will help boost EV production and penetration across the U.S.

Apparently Musk is one of the smart ones with 70-80% of his Teslas /  parts are manufactured here in the states...Honda is second @60%...
