Rubella, also known as German measles, is a serious threat to pregnant women and their developing babies, potentially leading to miscarriage, stillbirth, or severe birth defects like congenital rubella syndrome (CRS

risks to Pregnant Women and Babies:
  • If a pregnant woman contracts rubella, she can pass the virus to her baby, potentially causing miscarriage, stillbirth, or serious birth defects.
  • The most severe damage to the developing fetus occurs during the first trimester (first 12 weeks of pregnancy).
  • Congenital Rubella Syndrome (CRS): Babies born with CRS may have a range of health problems, including deafness, blindness, heart problems, intellectual disabilities, and liver or spleen damage.

One of the H1B's I work with didn't know if he had the vaccine or not.

I am pretty sure mine was after 1968 as has been recommended to check with a doctor if the immunity is sufficient.

Gosh, Mom is 94..    I am curious if they are updating the anti viral software in Nursing Homes?
