My real question is how long will it take to rebuild our manufacturing base.

Remember much those old facilities been torn down and redeveloped ya dont just snap your fingers build abuncha new factories and mills takes years of planning & millions & billion in investment get that off the ground.

The unfortunate thingy is we rely on these imports now for almost everything from auto parts, clothing, furniture, electronics, even shoes.
