If anything they might have helped some drivers stay awake.
When hit a truckstop though really take and need take a nap afew hours or so dont forget shut it off before ya climb into the bunk.
Last place I ever really used a CB Radio was the Grain Elevators because check in then was call in then give them your paperwork numbers and pull ahead the scale and probe for quality check.
