However, I think if Trump threatens to withhold money to force a school or university to regulate speech, this would be a violation of the 1st Amendment and possibly even other laws.  Now, if he threatens to withhold money to safeguard a religious group from violence on their campuses, I do not see this as regulation of free speech.  Honestly, I'm not sure what it is or how it would be viewed from a Constitutional perspective.  I'm open to reading intelligent opinions about this.////

trump has cut off funds colleges when students complain about israel bombing gaza, any student. not just ones on visas.
Like I told Cannonpointer, I don't care if Trump cut off FEDERAL FUNDS to Ivy League Huge-Endowment scammer-institutions, like Harvard, Yale, Princeton, or even the highly esteemed East LA Community College.  It's about F-ing time!  I would not only cut off Harvard's funding, but I'd pass a law that revokes tax free status for college endowments, and allow them to be taxed at some reasonable rate.

Fact: Harvard is and has always been a private college/university

Fact:  Harvard has an endowment of $51,000,000,000.  All of it accumulated tax-free. This is enough money to enroll over 1 Million Students annually free of charge. But, Harvard doesn't do that.  It only has 20,000 students, and only 50% receive financial aid to reduce, or in rare cases eliminate tuition.  That means that Harvard's endowment pays out less than $500,000,000 for student tuition every year.  That's less than 0.1% of its endowment annually, which makes between 4%-12% annually on its investments.

Fact: **** Harvard.  And, **** all of you whiny little bitches who complain about OUR TAX DOLLARS no longer going straight into Harvard's uber-wealthy coffers.
