"Conscription" into Armed Services aint no worse than Prison but in the Army ya still a "Citizen" not a Convict..

Now the "Living Conditions" may rival a State Prison.

Nonetheless ya gonna come out way BETTER than ya "Were" on a basic "Conscription" program
